Please note that all face-to-face meetings have been suspended as local authorities in England have been granted new powers to hold public meetings virtually using video or telephone conferencing technology from Saturday 4 April 2020.
The Government has temporarily removed the legal requirement for local authorities to hold public meetings in person during the coronavirus pandemic. This will enable councils to make effective and transparent decisions on the delivery of services for residents and ensure that local democracy continues to thrive.
The Regulations were made in Parliament on 2 April 2020 and apply to meetings taking place before 7 May 2021.
The current guidance to parish councils is that where meetings can take place digitally, without the need for face-to-face contact, they should continue to do so to protect against the spread of infection. Details of joining instructions are included in the meeting agenda when it is issued.
If you need help in accessing a meeting please contact the Clerk, who will be pleased to assist.
