A parish council must ensure that its financial, operational and risk management is effective (Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/234), reg 3), and its risk management schemes must cover a range of risks to public money and related to council property, activities and any employees.
Clapham Parish Council has a general risk assessment and also one for the Recreation Ground which identify the levels of risk and ways of mitigating them (e.g. insurance policies or regular inspections). It has also adopted one to cover the additional risks posed by COVID-19 on re-opening of the outdoor recreational facilities on 4 July 2020.
